ABOUT

The Epiphany Conservation Trust was established in 2011 to raise funds for extensive restoration work at the Church of the Epiphany in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. All proceeds to the trust will directly fund the building restoration projects, beginning with the Parish Hall which hosts all of the community programming at the church, including Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, the Wall – Las Memorias Project serving Latino populations affected by HIV/AIDS, Equality California, a food bank, health and fitness programs, day care, and immigrant rights forums.

The first phase of work the restoration work will include: installation of a commercial kitchen that will enable the church to better serve the community; handicapped upgrades; stone facade repair fixing damage from past earthquakes; structural foundation work; repair of windows and the building envelope; a heating and ventilation system; new electrical service; new flooring; and other general repair work .The second phase of work will focus on the church sanctuary including structural reinforcing, stained glass window restoration, installation of a heating system; restoration of the historic pipe organ; restoration interior woodwork and finishes; and other repair projects of the interior and exterior of the building. The work above is to be overseen by Escher GuneWardena Architecture.
